Magnificent view of quiver tree with stunning sunset

For a long time I have made Namibia as my dreamed destination. Our tour operator helps to present a wonder journey of 5 days and 4 nights which covers quiver tree forest and highlights of Namib dessert. We do appreciate that and definitely would love to score 5 out of 5.
However, on our first day to Windhoek airport, we were treated as suspicious guests despite we trying to be friendly to each staff meet in airport. Holding valid visas and return tickets, I just couldn’t figure out why they yelled at us like that. That’s why I reserve one star reviewing overall experience in Namibia.

Wonderful trip - Marius was great and we enjoyed his company and his energy.
I posted some photos, if you scroll down to NAMIBIA in this link you'll see them.

If there was one criticism it would be that our tour guide was booked into a hotel in Swakopmund and this caused some confusion because this is where he lived and he stayed at home for two nights. The savings of that unnecessary extra booking for our tour guide could have been given to us. Just a thought for your next customer.

Thank you for organising.

If you're traveling the world, you can't miss Namibia!

An unforgettable trip for its colors, people, and unique experiences, absolutely worth trying!
For safaris and wildlife, there are perhaps better options. Etosha is a bit disappointing, with too many people and cars. Ongawa exceeds expectations for its contact with wild nature.

Namibia is very interesting, it's dunes unforgettable, wildlife unbelievable, arid, worth visiting.

Namibia is very diverse. Windhoek, the capital beautiful, Etosha National Park full of wildlife, exciting. The skeleton coast quite unique with its city
Swakopmund very German influence and pretty. The Namib dunes, one of the oldest deserts in the world very captivating. and worth visiting. When we were there, it was quite hot, so an early walk was necessary. The landscape in some parts, pretty others very arid and dry. We travelled in our minibus thousands of kilometers to see it all, most of the roads are unsealed so we were "rock n rolled" quite a bit. As the African call it "African massage" It is not for the faint hearted or people with back problems. Due to the hot climate, we needed to buy many bottles of water daily which our tour operator did not provide. Disappointed! For the money we paid, we were expected at least water to be provided! Most of the accommodation very good. Meals Superb. All in all, it was an experience I will never forget. Would I do it again, definitely.

Beautiful scenaries

We went for 10 days with indigo safari . All the trip was very well organised , the hôtels and accommodations were luxuous , we really enjoyed the trip , the scenaries , the desert , the bush , etosha Park , all the places were amazing . For us one day in swakopmund would have been enough and we had nothing to do in Damaraland ( too short Time to see the éléphants and useless to make a stop there on the road for Etosha .

Harsh landscapes that represent the beauty of Africa with its endlessly vast plains.

Itinerary : Windhoek - Kalahari desert - Keetmanshoop - Fish river canyon - Lüderitz - Sossusvlei - Namib Naukluft - Swakopmund - Damaraland - Etosha - Okahandja - Windhoek.

We used to be a party of 25 people driving in a tour bus with one tour guide who also used to be the driver. Our guide told us a lot of the country and the people itself and did a great job. Considering the accommodations, Namibia is a country with a great price / quality ratio, similar to South Africa in fact and better as Kenya / Tanzania, countries we visited the year before. When it comes to landscapes, Namibia is a real treasure for the adventurer; endless landscapes in the middle of nowhere, beautiful colors (especially in the Namib desert) and harsh vast plains are just among a few things to highlight. Wildlife is great too, especially in the Etosha national park where we unfortunately just stayed one and a half day. We would recommend to go for a jeep with a private guide (as we did) and not to
Read more ride with the tour bus through the park as it is done by many tourists, ...this is no real safari feeling watching animals through windows in a sticky tour bus. By the way, the Etosha national park is well known for its bird watching possibilities. Besides Etosha, the Namib desert with Sossusvlei / Deadvlei (something not to miss) was our second highlight. The colors during sunrise / sundown are among the most beautiful things you can see, especially for photographers. Weather was great during our 2 week trip through Namibia (no rain in fact). Only two things we would change when returning again to Namibia : 1) Looking for a tour operator who travels in smaller groups, in fact 25 people per bus is above average and a bit too much. 2) Trying to expand the trip to the Zambezi Region who touches Botswana and is well known for its incredible wildlife.

Endless desert to endless sea

After driving for days through beautiful but scorching desert-scapes, we crested a dune and were chilled by a breeze coming off the dark blue Atlantic. This is an isolated, beautiful, and rarely-visited part of the world. In Namibia you can see big game as in other African countries, but also explore the desert and drive for miles up the Skeleton coast without seeing another person. They also have the best steaks--wild game or beef--of any other safari destination.

The country is often fenced and you cannot drive offroad as you like. A very nice and unique country but very civilised. Adventure is easy to plan.

Namibia has so much to offer - incredible vast desert landscapes, unbeatable wildlife in Etosha National Park, as well as culture with many different tribes as well as the German colonial history.
