An amazing tailor made holiday individually selected to give you the best experience
Having had to postpone twice due to Covid, we really were really looking forward to our South Africa trip. We are predominantly interested in the animals but also requested some down time for relaxing. The itinerary and experiences far exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t believe what we got for our money. From whale watching to safaris on foot and horseback, everyday had a wow factor. Towards the end, Nick our trip organiser, built in a stopover at Thonga Lodge. A place I felt was as close to paradise as you can get. I can honestly say everyday surpassed the last. We did not want to do self drive so we were chauffeured every where. Everyone we met were keen to give us the best experience. We are already looking at next year and will definitely be going back to this company

Tailor Made Safaris made a dream come true.
When you're married 35 years, you want to do something special. We asked Tailor Made Safaris to arrange a trip for us in which we wanted to do several things. Safari, sea, whales, a boat-trip at the river etc. etc.
What a great journey we have got. Every day we enjoyed so much. All the animals, the Big Five, the beautiful birds. The bush, the parks, Kosi Bay, St. Lucia, the Drakensbergen, it was great. A special award for the way Geert en Freya / Tailor Made Safaris arranged everything. The accomodations in the different parks, the guides and Nicolas ( Tailor Made Safaris ), the transport, it was all great. Tailor Made Safaris didn't only promise us a great trip, they made there words come true!!!!!!!!

Perfect trip and very well organised
It was fantastic and highly recommended!
At the end of October 2012 we visited South Africa for 19 days, our first introduction to Africa and first Tailor Made Tour.
We started in Cape Town and visited Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Point, Hermanus, vineyards and did white shark cage diving.
We then flew to Durban and went on safari. We visited five different parks and went on many game drives. We also took part in game walks and safaris on horseback which were both exciting.
We stayed in fun and unique accommodations in beautiful locations, where we were looked after by the guide. If there was no restaurant the guide prepared the meals and also during the game drives we had breakfast and lunch prepared for us in the bush.
In short it was FANTASTIC and it is definitely recommended!

Trip of our lives!
Dear Tailor Made Safaris,
We had a great trip which, for us, was the journey of our lives. The diversity (of surroundings) we requested was really there.
During game drives in Tembe Elephant Park and Leopard Mountain Lodge we saw everything, including wild dogs, the largest elephant iSilo, rhinos, warthogs, lions, a herd of approximately 120 buffalo, which went to bathe, giraffes etc.
On to the beautiful White Pearl Lodge, with sea views from your bed and bath and a great swimming beach, followed by St Lucia with its many charms and possibilities.
The only thing that could stop us is our age but we certainly hope to go again in 2014!

A wonderful customised trip that ticked all the boxes

From the very first moment, we had great and friendly contact with Robin, who put together this fantastic journey for us! We travelled with two young kids, and Robin knew all the perfect places and activities for us, allowing us to have an AMAZING trip with plenty of time to relax as well.
From farm stays to safaris, from penguins to hippos, from Table Mountain to the breathtaking views at Makongo — we enjoyed every single moment!

In our experience, Tailor Made Safaris were friendly, helpful and well organised.
Our brief was a of mix of safaris and beach locations over Christmas and New Year. Candance provided us with a selection of game reserves and beach locations from which to choose. We found this extremely helpful given the huge number of options available to us. Candance went on to make the reservations for us and also arranged all our road transfers. We were in contact with Candance throughout our two week holiday, should we have needed anything. This just left us to sit back and enjoy. Which we did!

An Unforgettable e Family Safari in South Africa
We traveled with **Safaris op Maat** and had an absolutely amazing holiday. We first met **Geert and Robin** at the Travel Fair, where we were able to clearly share our wishes. We were looking for a trip suitable for **teenagers**, with a **varied program**, **limited driving distances**, the opportunity to see the **Big Five**, and a good balance between **relaxation and activities**.
Based on one of their “standard” itineraries, a proposal was made and then fine-tuned together with us through short and efficient lines of communication. Accommodations and travel details were discussed and adjusted where needed to perfectly match our preferences. It truly felt like a tailor-made journey.
During the trip itself, communication remained excellent. We had direct contact with **Geert and his local team**, with easy and quick WhatsApp communication whenever needed, for example when something was unclear in the detailed travel documents. Any questions were answered promptly and professionally.
Thanks to the outstanding organization and personal approach, we could fully relax and enjoy our journey. **We had a fantastic holiday and highly recommend Safaris op Maat!**

Super good and reliable...friendly. Easy to reach.
The five of us had a fantastic trip. We went with our children, ages 15, 17, and 18, and my wife and I. Before we left, we received a book with all the information we needed: departure times, routes, where to shop for groceries, or where to eat. Absolutely everything. This made the trip even more relaxing. Once we arrived in South Africa after a long flight, we picked up our rental car. This was also arranged by Safari Op Maat, as was an eSIM card since our phones weren't working. This was necessary because we wanted to drive the route accurately. We spent 12 days traveling in South Africa, covering approximately 1,300 kilometers. We saw the Big 5, the friendly people, the beautiful scenery, and the fantastic lodges, each more beautiful than the last. We ate delicious food. This was truly the best trip of our lives so far.
