The most exciting holiday I have ever experienced.
5/5

From the beginning to the end there were nothing to complain about this tour, food was fantastic, the driver tried hard to search and take us see the difficult to see animals.I was a bit worried about the camp with tent but it was awesome! The staff was so attentive all the time, inside the tent were neat and had enough sleep there and moreover we saw quite few animals and family elephants !

The vehicle was very comfortable with plenty of water.
Nothing to worry about for all.

It was really an amazing trip!Thank you for all your service!

Great Safari 3days!!!
5/5

We went to Serengeti N.P. and Ngorongoro C.A. for 3days on November in 2015. We could see BIG5 clearly at both of them and it was so amazing they were so close to us. We felt that our guide tried to let us see BIG5 and other animals, and we enjoyed every meal which our chef cooked for us, and which we liked the taste so much. Everything was perfect and we're satisfied with 3days with Kilimanjaro Vikings!

We enjoyed so much with our gentole guide!!
5/5

We went to 3 days safari ( Tarangire N.P. / Ngorongoro C.A. / Lake Manyara N.P. ). Our guide explained in detail in English or Swahili language. ( I can understand Swahili as i live in Tanzania as a volunteer. But his English was perfect.) We are satisfied with this safari with Kilimanjaro Vikings so much. Our guide always took care of us, and dealed with our requests that we wanted to see any animals. We thought our guide was so professional as he didn't even count the tip we gave in front of us. We felt so comfortable about it.

100% recommended for Safari
5/5

Me and a friend booked a 4 day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) with Kilimanjaro Vikings and I can absolutely recommend this.
I was a volunteer in Moshi so I had the possibility to search on site for the best tour operator.
So I also made Charlie, the owner of Kilimanjaro Vikings. He made us a really good price and he was very helpful with every kind of questions.
So we booked with them.
The driver guide picked us up and we went to Tarangire. He was very nice and taught us on the drive about the landscape and about history.
All the way in the national parks we benefited from his knowledge about wildlife. So we saw all the big five and a lot of more beautiful wildlife moments.
We had our own chef who made really good food for us. The tents were really comfortable, so we could even enjoy the trip above the drive.

So thanks for the whole Kilimanjaro Vikings team, they made our adventure to one of the best things I've ever done!

2 days safari
5/5

We booked a 2 days safari. On the first day we went to the serengeti and later that day we arrived at a lodge where we spent the night. On the second day we starded early for the drive to the ngorogoro crater. And it was beautiful! We saw many different animals. I can truly recommend to go there. The whole trip was well organized, and the guide hade a gode knowledge about the areas and the animals.

Guides & porters were incredible
4/5

We climbed Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route and it was hands down one of the toughest things I’ve ever done — particularly summit day. A long, cold, relentless slog, but such an unforgettable experience.

Our guides — Johnnie, Temba, Conrad, Victor and Bonnie, were absolutely incredible. When I developed acute mountain sickness, they were calm and so supportive. They monitored me closely and helped me push through safely. I felt genuinely cared for the entire time.

The porters were also amazing. Their strength, kindness and constant encouragement made the whole trek possible. So much respect for the work they do.

Richard was very responsive on WhatsApp while organising the trip, which made the planning process straightforward.

Kilimanjaro is no joke, but with the right mountain crew beside you, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

Tough hike, amazing experience!
4/5

My husband and I climbed Kilimanjaro for our honeymoon in January 2026 with KiliVikings! We chose the 7-day Rongai route. Overall we had a great experience. We booked a group tour, but it ended up being just the two of us and the crew! From the beginning, Charlie was very responsive (even though we arrived on Christmas Day and finished on New Year’s Eve). Our guides, Goodluck and Stephan, were awesome and helpful! They respected the mountain and checked in with us throughout the day during the hiking portion and while relaxing at camp to make sure our questions were answered! The porters, chef, guides, and the entire staff were incredible! We made it to Gilman’s point, which is not the peak but was close enough!

We went at the end of rainy season so it rained/snowed every day of our hike. The mornings were usually clear and it was amazing to see the mountain as we progressed! Charlie arranged a taxi for us to get to Arusha after the hike and helped with everything we asked!

A couple of things that could have gone better/I wish we had done differently:
-Kilivikings forgot to pack oxygen, which was said to be included in the tour. I got altitude sickness during the summit night and I probably needed it but we didn’t have any.
- I wish we had looked at the route success rates before choosing a route. We picked the Rongai route and it was beautiful!!! the forest was incredible! But i think a longer climb (like lemosho) would have been better for us to acclimate.
-We did not end up taking the acclimatization day and I wish we had. Our climb ended up being 6 days instead of 7 because the guide said we likely didn’t need the extra day. We were feeling mostly good until the summit night so not our guide’s fault!
- KiliVikings recommends a 10% tip, but we got the vibe from our porters and guides that that was not at all fair. We ended up paying about a 25% tip (which was extremely deserved but a little more than we anticipated spending).
- Nothing KiliVikings could have done about this but we found it extremely difficult to eat. (The food was delicious we simply couldn’t eat because of the altitude). We live at sea level and have never been so high up so we truly didn’t understand how the altitude could impact us and the biggest hurdle was our appetite. We slept fine and for the most part we acclimated until we started the climb to the summit.

Again, overall, it was challenging, incredible, and a truly unique experience! Thank you KiliVikings!
