Extraordinary team of local people
While staying at nice Kili base hotel, we wwnt on a full day safari trip with possibility to meet the biggest african animals at close range. Evwrything was well organised and a meal afterwards was a nice surprise bonus. Thank you

Kwesa Tours is the Best
Teacher and his team at Kwesa Tours led our group of 20 from the USA (CO, IL, and TX) via the Marangu route to the summit of Kilimanjaro. It was one of the most fun, safe, and challenging experiences. The Kwesa team took care of us at every step, including preparations, briefings, dining, hiking, and ultimately preparing our mental attitude for summit night. We all felt confident about our safety and that Kwesa shared our objective to get to the top. I am grateful for Teacher’s friendship as well as his Cooks, Guides, and Porters, all of whom looked after us so well. I give them my highest recommendation for outfitting. It was a wonderful physical, mental, and cultural experience that I will never forget.

Choose KWESA for your Kilimanjaro Summit trip
Edward “Teacher” Lazaro, owner and leader of Kwesa Tours and his fine team led our family and friends to the summit of Kilimanjaro! Our group of 20 from the U.S. (IL, CO and TX) selected the Marangu route because it is the only route where you use huts for the ascent and descent and we generally had a crew with no climbing experience.
Teacher is a fascinating, principled, man who truly cares about his clients (we now call him our friend) and those values translate to his whole team.
Bottom line: Teacher and his KWESA team took care of us from start to finish, focused on our self care and achieving our goal - get to the top!… safely.
They provided support, preparation, briefings, nutrition (compliments to the cooks), hydration, and friendly encouragement throughout the trip.
The trek was culturally and environmentally interesting, safe, fun, yet challenging … with no technical climbing.

The best experience money can buy!
Teacher and his team at Kwesa Tours led our group of 20 from the USA (CO, IL, IA, and TX) via the Marangu route to the summit of Kilimanjaro. It was one of the most fun, safe, challenging, and life changing experiences. The Kwesa Team took care of us at every step from the preparations, briefings, dining, hiking, and ultimately the preparation for the summit attempt. Most of our group was successful in summiting in large part due to the assistance and fortitude of the Kwesa team. We all felt confident about our safety (especially since Teacher has climbed over 1,000 times), and the Kwesa Team shared our objective to get to the top as a whole. I am grateful for Teacher’s friendship and the cooks, guides, and porters who looked after us so well. I don’t think we would have had such success in reaching the top if it wasn’t for this wonderful team. I would definitely choose Kwesa Tours again and would recommend them to my family and friends. It was a wonderful physical, mental, and cultural experience that I will never forget and I hope to recreate.

We took the 8 day Lemosho route which gave us the maximum chance of acclimitisation. The climb was well managed and organised and everyone from the porters to the waiters, chefs and guides were very helpful. Special thank you to Kessy who helped me during the climb. His great personality and excellent English meant we built a great relationship over the climb and left as friends. An unforgettable experience!

Excellent service on and off the mountain
Kwesa tours is been excellent value for money and whilst still feeling like a premium service. We did 7day Machame rotue where we were very well catered for. They keep you well fed on the mountain and the guides we had (Haji, Tuliza, Abu) were knowledgeable, professional and entertaining with good English. It was noticed we had a better ratio of guides than larger groups which was very useful.
The company also supported our time in Tanzinia outside of kilimanjaro by providing guides and travel into town and trips to the local hot springs which was appreciated.

Very well organised tour of Usambara and Tanga regions.
Our tour of Coffee farm on bottom slopes of Kilimanjaro, and visit to Kilimanjaro Base camp were photography tours. The we drove to Lushoto and Bumbuli on Usambara and had great time staying at Mullas. We then drove to Tanga and Pangani where we went to wonderful places. Car, driver, and accommodation were arranged by Kwesa Tours and we strongly recommend their excellent services
