Highly recommended!
Last month we booked a tour to Kenya with Hyrax safaris. We covered Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Masaai Mara. Our experience with Hyrax was amazing. Their team of experienced professionals is passionate about creating memorable experiences for their clients, and their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. During our tour, Roselyne, the owner of Hyrax Safaris, was incredibly helpful in planning our trip and took care of all the minute details, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. Even while our tour was ongoing, Roselyne was very fast in responding to any communication, demonstrating her dedication to ensuring our trip was smooth and enjoyable.
Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of our tour was our guide, Dan. He is a true professional who goes above and beyond to ensure that his clients have a safe and enjoyable trip. His impressive knowledge of the area, wildlife, and culture was evident as he shared his insights and answered our questions with enthusiasm. Dan's speed and efficiency in navigating through the terrain allowed us to make the most of our time and experience the stunning landscapes and wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we were lucky enough to spot a Black rhino within three minutes of entering the reserve.
We were also impressed with Denis, our guide on the last day, who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He gave us a detailed city tour, covering all the important places in the city of Nairobi.
Overall, we highly recommend Hyrax Safaris to anyone looking for a well-planned and guided tour in Kenya and Masaai Mara. Roselyne's amazing planning and coordination skills, combined with Dan's outstanding guidance, make for an exceptional experience. If you are planning a trip to Kenya, we would highly recommend asking Roselyne if she can get Dan for you as your guide as he truly made our trip unforgettable.

The tour operator was very available and responsive to our requests.
We booked a safari with Hyrax Safari starting in Nairobi, then visiting Amboseli and Taita Hills, and ending in Mombasa. We were able to personalize our trip exactly as we wanted because they were very flexible. We had a wonderful guide, Peter, who was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and patient with us. It was truly a five-star experience, and we highly recommend booking with them to anyone who wants to go on a safari.

A realiable agency and a good trip
1. compared with the offer from other agencies, we finally chose Hyrax due to the great value for money.
2. The most unforgettable day for me is in Lake Navaisha, the resort and the boat ride was excellent
3. Ben is a good guide and driver. We saw leopards several times and also we found many other animals.

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT!
Just back from our Hyrax safari - wow! From the initial contact with Irene, to agreeing the itinerary and accommodation, to the safari itself, all ran completely seamlessly.
Our guide, Kasaine was incredible. We’re a well travelled couple, but I’d say that Kasaine is the best guide we’ve ever had. From his politeness and professional, to his in-depth knowledge of everything about the animals, flora and forna, he was out of this world. Make sure you request him! Even from keeping the jeep clean, to toilet stops, and his amazing skilled eye for spotting animals at a distance, he was just superb. He also has a brilliant eye for photography and would e.g. move the position of the van to ensure the sun didn’t blind the photos, or get animals with their reflections on the water. He’s definitely ensured we have the best photographic memories of this amazing trip to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. Loved our visit to the Masai village too. The best holiday ever. Accommodation chosen for us was excellent.

It was such a well organized, wonderful experience that to deem it as worthy would be understatement
We opted for a week long Kenya Safari experience with Hyrax. It was such a lovely experience, one filled with sightings of almost all major species that we had hoped for. Communication from Emmah, who was co-ordinating via WhatsApp, was very clear. Our guide Ben was energetic, pleasant, courteous, knowledgable and often went the extra mile to make sure we didn't miss out on anything. We visited some of the major attractions in Kenya such as Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli National Park. The only adjustment in itinerary I'd have made in hindsight is to plan the trip from Naivasha to Amboseli better. It is a long distance and on the day there was unfortunately unusual traffic along the road which meant we reached our destination at around midnight (a good 6 hours late). Even with the minor hiccups, Ben handled the situation well and his awareness and experience came in handy or else we might have got stuck in the infamous traffic (pre-Christmas) for over a day.
As far as the Safari goes, we covered pretty much every major. species - lion, elephants, hippo, cheetah, hyena, buffalo, crocodiles, giraffe, zebra, black rhino, white rhino, baboons and the many wonderful birds of Africa. The only major miss was the elusive leopard, which didn't come out in sight.
Masai was as expected the best part where we could see all the African wildlife out in the plains. Naivasha offered the chance to see many distinct small bird species and Amboseli was wonderful with the epic Mt. Kilimanjaro peaking through the clouds at dawn and of course the majestic elephant herds. All our stays were fantastic, full of comfort, delightful food and the experience made rich by the gracious smiling staff. The pit stops en route different destinations and the different gift shops near park entrance/stays gave us the chance to buy collectibles and gifts for family.
Overall, the tour was great, exceeding our expectations. Almost everything went as per planned schedule. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who loves wildlife!

A great choice for a 7 day Kenyan safari adventure!
It has been a dream of mine to visit Kenya and have a safari adventure. I’m glad that I chose Hyrax safari's especially coz of my tour coordinator Emmah.
If not for Emmah, I'm not sure if I would have made it on this trip. She went above & beyond in making sure that I went and had great time on this safari. She made every effort to create a great experience, and her warm personality made the trip all the more enjoyable.
The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the environment, sharing fascinating insights about the animals and their habitats. The vehicles were comfortable and well-maintained, making our journeys through the parks enjoyable and safe. Special shoutout to the driver Danielle at lake Naivasha for his passion and knowledge he shared with us.
I would recommend Hyrax to all my friends especially because of Emmah and I would recommend choosing a private tour instead of a group tour.

Best safari
Our 4 day Masai Mara Safari was perfect! We were also in Naivasha and Nakuru. 3 so different but all amazing places. Both accomodations on our Safari were great, camping had really good food. All the staff was very kind and helpful. Our driver Jim knows the best spots and he was really trying hard to see as much as we can. With him was also guy on induction, he was very friendly and all of the time with us.

My friends and I visited Kenya for the first time and really appreciated Hyrax Safari helping us with recommendations for a 14-day safari, beach and city excursion.
