Incredible Gorilla Trekking and Classic African Wildlife Experience
My wife and I had an incredible 12-day tour that featured astounding wildlife, exceptional food and service, and a highly personalized itinerary. The tour was extremely customizable, as Aron helped craft the perfect trip that encompassed everything we wanted to see and do. The gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda as well as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda were our highlights and among the greatest wildlife experiences we've ever had--extremely close encounters with continual chances for stunning photos and videos. Chimpanzee trekking, golden monkey trekking, and numerous safaris provided ample opportunity to see everything from elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, lions, rhinos, and much more. Martin was the best guide possible, and we'd highly recommend asking for him!

This was an amazing experience tinder the gorilla in its own habitat. All the people that works with this made by day, a very kind man picked me up in the morning and drove me back also. Charged pictures with me as well. The crew at the gorilla camp, was processional and the helped us where to stand for good pictures. Just an amazing day

Highlight of our trip
This company is amazing! I interacted with Aron and I think he might be the kindest man I’ve ever met. Aron took us Gorilla Trekking which was the highlight of our trip. Don’t leave Uganda without gorilla trekking!! It was an incredible experience. I was a foot away from a baby gorilla at one point and could have watched the animals for hours! Aron also gave us some great recommendations of places to visit. We also went on a safari in Queen Elizabeth National park and saw every animal in The Lion King and then some. Tip: go super early in the morning or late at night to see the lion, that’s when they’re out hunting. Seeing African elephants was such a peaceful experience. You can tell he really loves his country and wants to share it with the world. He is so knowledgeable about the area and knows the best spots to stop for pictures as well. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other places. He works with you to build an itinerary that’s right for your budget and timeframe. This tour group went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were comfortable through the whole journey and I really can’t praise them enough!!

Incredible experience and better service
Aron took care of us from our inquiry about the gorilla trekking to the very end. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything and was very prompt when responding to our questions over WhatsApp. He made us feel very comfortable the whole way through. We were taken Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, apparently this one is the hidden gem. We found the family in an hour and a half hour to stay with them for 40 minutes or so. But the whole experience was incredible. We got lucky and saw a Golden Monkey as well!

Gorillas, chimpanzees and golden monkeys
S2G Tours & Travels Rwanda Gorillas Was an excellent tour operator. The guide/driver Dan was with me the entire eight day trip. He was friendly and helpful and professional and his driving was always safe and careful. He assisted me in going through immigration at the Rwanda/ Uganda border. We were supposed to see gorillas in DRC but with consultation with Aron, the coordinator, it was decided that with the rebels overrunning Goma and getting close to the border, we shouldn’t take a chance of crossing into DRC. Aron was very involved in rearranging the itinerary on the fly, changing to see the gorillas in Uganda instead of DRC and going to a beautiful hotel on a lake with many islands. I saw everything that was promised just not as set out initially but as they say, this is Africa and you must be flexible and adaptable and not rigid and adamant. We spent an hour with a group of mountain gorillas. They were gentle and habitualised to humans. It was magical. Overall it was an excellent eight day tour and S2G Tours & Travels Rwanda provided everything that I wanted.

We spent seven fabulous days with Safari 2 Gorilla Tours in December 2024, and we recommend their services to all travellers wanting to see the wild treasures of East Africa.
Booking the tour online was simple. The company is highly rated, all their charges are clearly displayed, explained and fair, and their response times are remarkably fast.
We felt secure and confident throughout the booking process, and in specifying special dietary requirements.
Our guide for the adventure, Aron, is a wonderful travelling companion.
Knowledgeable, kind and willing to go that extra mile to make our trip unforgettable, Aron immediately made us feel safe and informed.
The 4x4 vehicle for our tour was remarkably comfortable - which was appreciated during long legs of the journey - and the roof opens to give you amazing views and a great vantage spot for taking photos.
We saw all the animals we'd hoped to see on the tour, much of which was down to Aron. He's obviously well-liked and respected in the guiding community, and is linked into a network that shares information on locations of interesting creatures.
Aron was also able to get us into some incredible spots to take photos – he's confident behind the wheel, and knows how to a good angle for that perfect snap.
The highlight of our tour was our trip to see the gorillas in Uganda. We got closer than we ever expected, and the tour was fun and well organised.
We were heartened that Aron joined us for the gorilla trek – not because it was part of his job, buy because he loves wildlife and didn't want to miss an opportunity to get close to some of nature's greatest marvels.
As Aron was as enthusiastic as us about the experiences we were having, it made the trip even more exciting!

Great Experience
Our recent gorilla trekking adventure in Uganda was truly unforgettable, thanks to the expertise and passion of our guide, Aron. From the moment we met, it was clear we were in the hands of someone deeply knowledgeable and committed to providing an enriching experience.
Aron was incredibly organized, ensuring we had all the information we needed before setting off. They provided a detailed briefing about what to expect during the trek, safety tips, and the fascinating behaviors of the gorillas we were about to encounter.
The trek itself was both challenging and rewarding, and Aron made it manageable for everyone in the group, accommodating various fitness levels with patience and encouragement. Helpful and efficient
I booked with Safari 2 Gorillas very last minute to do the gorilla hike in Mgahinga NP on Christmas Day. Aron was really prompt with all the communication, and I'm so glad I paid extra with him (vs just booking the permit myself) because he was so helpful in solving some problems I had (like my visa not being approved quickly and also making me lunch when everything was closed on Christmas Day).
My guide was also super friendly and easy to chat with. Everything they communicated would happen on the day went ahead exactly the plan! We saw the beautiful gorillas and there were two sets of couples in my group who had also done the gorilla trek in bwindi, and both said they thought Mgahinga was better for its openness!

I would highly recommend taking a tour with Safari2Gorillas. Aron was an incredible guide. He always made sure that I understood what was coming next, was always up for sharing any information about questions that I had along the way about culture, history, etc., and was overall knowledgeable and kind. The people at the lodges that I stayed at were so accommodating and friendly, and the food was also really good. Seeing the golden monkeys was really cool and the absolute highlight was getting to trek with the gorillas. Hope you get to enjoy this tour as much as I did!
