My husband and I just returned from an incredible three-day adventure in Ruaha National Park. We collaborated with Paul to determine the best accommodation options for our stay. Ultimately, we decided to book two nights and three days in Ruaha National Park, staying overnight at the Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, which is conveniently located just outside the park.
Accommodation Choices
We thoroughly enjoyed all arrangements, each offering a unique experience. Paul dedicated a significant amount of time and exchanged several emails with me to help finalize our decision. I found that Kitonga Company offered rates that were more reasonable compared to other companies, making it a great choice for our trip.
Wildlife Encounters
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the wildlife. The Ruaha River was breathtaking, although it had less water than usual, which made it less lively than it could have been. However, this did not hinder our experience; we were fortunate enough to see two leopards—one of which was right next to our safari vehicle—and witness a pride of lionesses hunting a massive herd of buffalo.

arranged by Mr.Gerlad from Kitonga Tours. He was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Our guide Paul and Abakuki was extremely experienced and knowledgeable. He knew where the animals were going before the animals did. Wherever he took us we were followed by other guides as they knew Paul & Abakuki knew what he was doing. Perfect Safari
In August, we booked a 4-day safari in Ruaha National Park with Kitonga Safari Tours. It was perfect. Gerald organized everything very well. Whether it was transfers, accommodations outside the safari, or special requests like a walking safari or a night game drive — nothing was a problem.
Our guide Habakuki was excellent. He showed us everything and took great care of us. We even saw the Big Four. We had our own jeep and never had any concerns about our safety. The park is stunning.
Our accommodation (Ruaha Bandas) was also very good, and we had hippos right next to our lodge.
All in all, the safari was a unique experience and perfectly organized. If we book another safari, it will definitely be with Kitonga Safari Tours. Thank you for everything!

Four special days in the heart of the savannah!
I took a four-day tour of Ruaha National Park and it was a wonderful experience. Tadei, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and knew the park inside out. Thanks to him, we learned so much about the savannah and its inhabitants. During the various excursions, including a walking safari, we were able to observe many animals up close.
