Incredible Safari Experience in Kenya
5/5

We Japanese couple joined 7 days tour (to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru, and Masai Mara), having the unforgettable safari experience that exceeded all my expectations. Our guide, Zachary was highly knowledgeable and experienced. He even taught other guides many about safari and animals. We were able to see all big 5 and learn about animals from him. The accommodations were mostly comfortable and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable adventure.

5/5

David has been an incredible guide and driver during our safari.
He has been very nice and answered all our questions.
Thanks to his experience and knowledges, we have seen more animals than what we expected before the beginning of the safari (more than 20 lions !! 🦁), he never gives up !
We highly recommend Explorers Wild Adventures and Kenya for a safari tour !

Explorers Wild Adventures and our guide David made our dream trip into a reality!
5/5

My spouse and I travelled with Explorers Wild Adventures in April to visit Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli National Park, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Every detail of the safari was thoughtfully organized, from our hotel pickup to daily game tours and rides between parks. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable, and in beautiful locations, allowing us to relax completely after each day’s adventures.
Our guide, David, was phenomenal. He was professional, friendly, and always punctual, and he made us feel safe and well cared for the entire time. His knowledge of the animals and parks was incredible—he identified every type of bird, mammals, and even their mating and migration patterns as locations they were usually found in each park, and he always took the time to answer our many questions.
What really set this trip apart was how much we learned from David about Kenyan culture, history, and daily life. He shared stories and insights that gave us a much deeper appreciation for the country beyond the wildlife.
The customer service from Explorers Wild Adventures was exceptional throughout. Communication before and during the trip was clear and timely, and any special requests or small changes were handled quickly. We never had to worry about logistics, which allowed us to simply enjoy the experience and focus on making memories.
Overall, we would highly recommend Explorers Wild Adventures—and especially David—to anyone considering an African safari. It was a trip of a lifetime, and we left Kenya already talking about when we could come back.

Accommodating, Responsive, Trustworthy and Experienced
5/5

We are a family of 5. Our journey started with the selection of an operator. Explorers Wild Adventures was recommended to us by a friend. Our interaction with them via What's app was easy as they are responsive to our questions. You will still need to do some research on the National Parks and Hotels you want to visit and stay respectively. However, Johann was able to answer our questions and guide us to the selection of hotels. The booking process was simple and by staying in contact they gave us the assurance that deposit is safe with them. Therefore, they are indeed Trustworthy.

Our adventure started before we left for the trip. Due to the war in Middle East, we were concerned about the status of our flight. However, Johann assured us that we are able to postpone our trip if needed. That's the kind of Accommodating operator they are in these uncertain times. In the end, we managed to flight into Kenya. We are constantly in contact via What's up and hence the meet up at the airport was seamless.

Our guide George was very experienced. The drive to the national parks was in itself a wonderful experience seeing the country by road. In the national park, George was able to use his experience and contacts with the rangers or follow guides to locate the Africa big five. It was the start of rainy season. We were very lucky to see all the big five and more. He was also very capable in maneuvering the rough road condition and keeping safety in mind.

Overall, it was a once in a lifetime experience to experience Kenya savanna grassland and its wild life.

Unforgettable First Safari
5/5

We just returned from our very first safari experience in Kenya, full of beautiful memories.

After researching several companies, I chose Explorers Wild Adventures for their reviews and fair pricing. I reached out with our preferences, and they customized a 6-day, 5-night itinerary for us (2 nights Masai Mara, 1 night Nakuru, 2 nights Amboseli).
Our accommodations were wonderful. We stayed at the Sopa Lodges in Masai Mara and Nakuru, and the Sentrim Lodge in Amboseli. Sentrim had a true "camp" feel that made us feel right at home in nature.

The absolute highlight of our trip was our guide, Bernard. He was punctual every day, very knowledgeable, and determined to help us spot wildlife. Thanks to him, we learned so much about Kenya too and saw every animal, including cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, lions, and hippos.

My highlights:
- An open-air picnic lunch in the Masai Mara.
- Walking near the river at the Kenya/Tanzania border to see hippos.
- Being the first to spot two lionesses walking right alongside our vehicle.
- Seeing both a cheetah and a leopard on our game drives.
- A guided nature walk in Nakuru, stepping right alongside giraffes and zebras.

We came home with memories from what we thought would be a "once-in-a-lifetime" trip, but we loved it so much, I am sure we will be back to Kenya one day!

Zachary is the best guide! Excellent tour operator.
5/5

Our five-day safari through the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli is coming to a close, and we couldn't help but leave a review for the person who accompanied us on this extraordinary adventure: Zachary. From day one, we knew we had a special person by our side. Zachary is a precise, punctual guide, deeply passionate about his work and the territory he describes with infectious care and enthusiasm. He knows every corner of these parks, knows where to look, when to wait, and how to transform every sighting into an unforgettable moment. He never stopped at simply "here's an elephant"—he told us the animals' stories, behaviors, and habits with a knowledge that truly enriched us. But beyond his professionalism, it was his humanity that made the difference: always available, always smiling, able to put us at ease even during the longest or most tiring moments of the trip. We felt in good hands with him from day one to day two. We'll definitely mention this experience on our travel blog rottesconosciute.com and can't wait to contact you again for a future safari, perhaps in Rwanda or Uganda. Thank you so much for everything. 🙏

The safari with Explorers Wild Adventures and our guide Jeff was great - we have seen all big five animals and many more. Jeff was the perfect guide with so much knowledge about the nature, the wildlife and the culture in Kenya. I would definitely recommend to do this!

The review below is the personal opinion of Jorge and not that of SafariBookings.
basically they are liars
1/5

They put 8 of us in a van when the budget clearly said 7 maximum (and 7 is already uncomfortable). Also, far from apologizing, they told us that we had been lucky, that we could have been up to 9 (and they don't care what was in the contract). They also try to force you to go to the Masai village instead of going on an early safari, because for them it is much cheaper, it cost us some very serious discussions to be able to go on safari on the last day (although it also says so in the contract). Do not let an unforgettable experience be spoiled by going with these people, there are many companies that do what they say.

Dear Jorge,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about our safari experience. We appreciate all forms of feedback, whether positive or negative, as it helps us improve our services and provide the best possible experience for our guests.

We apologize if your recent safari had 8 occupants and did not meet your expectations however this was only for the 2 days while you were in the Masai Mara since your safari was based on a 6 day group joining tour, the number of occupants was minimum for the other days. Our aim is to ensure that every guest enjoys a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and we regret if this was not the case during your visit.

To address your concerns, we regularly monitor and manage the number of occupants in our safari vehicles to maintain a balance between the number of guests and the available space. However, it is possible that there were certain circumstances or factors that led to a higher occupancy during your visit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We also feel that a private safari option would have suited you the most rather than a group joining safari which we also offer, one of the most remarkable aspects of a private safari is the ability to craft a personalized itinerary. Unlike group safaris, where the schedule is predetermined, a private safari allows you to design a journey that aligns perfectly with your preferences. Private safaris provide an unmatched level of personalized attention and service where you have a dedicated guide and often a private vehicle, which means your experience is tailored to your interests.

We take your feedback seriously, and we will review our procedures and make the necessary adjustments to prevent similar issues in the future. It is important for us to strike a balance between accommodating all guests who wish to experience the safari while ensuring everyone's comfort and enjoyment.

We would like to extend an invitation to you for another safari experience with us, where we can ensure a more satisfactory visit. Please feel free to contact our customer service department, and we will be more than happy to assist you in arranging a future visit that meets your expectations.

Once again, we appreciate your feedback and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to restore your faith in our safari service.

Best regards,

Guest Relations Team.

Explorers Wild Adventures.

An experience way better than expected!
5/5

I was quite careful when booking this tour because when it comes to safari, even the budget options are very expensive. I decided to get the most of it and booked a 6-day trip to 3 national parks. And now, I must say, my overall experience was even better than I would expect.
We were an international team of 7 in a minivan. It's important to mention something I learned about how the tours are organized - each one of us booked from a different operator and even paid a different price! Therefore, it's hard for me to say what really differentiates one operator from the others.
Maxwell, our driver, was really great! What stands out at first is his excellent knowledge. He had answers to all the questions and knew all the species. Driving in the national parks, especially such as Masai Mara, may be very challenging, but he (as well as our minivan) proved absolutely unbeatable. We were able to pass the most difficult obstacles on the way and after that our driver would even help other drivers. I was impressed how they cooperate with each other. There's no competition but a common will to provide the experience of a lifetime to all the participants. And we made it, we got the big five in just 3 days, and even more than that! Some animals would willingly approach us to even one meter away! It's just unbelievable how they do not care about our presence at all. And the sceneries of elephant or lion families right in front of my eyes, is something I will recall forever and ever.
In terms of organization, I can't complain much, because I chose the budget option. The accommodation was decent, the food was basic but alright. Just FYI, there's no air conditioning in the car even though traveling from one park to another is a significative part of the entire safari.
I only regret two things: 1) Our visit in Nakuru could have been longer. We were only chasing a rhino and as soon as we spotted it, we left. 2) Bottled water was supposed to be unlimited but on the first day of the trip I was informed that "unlimited" means just one litre per person per day which is laargely insufficient when the temperature reaches over 30 degrees Celcius. It's a very small expense for the company, so I think they could really provide what "unlimited" in fact means.
To summarize: if you think that visions of paradise in Jehova's Witnesses' bulletins are some kind of fantasy out of a child's imagination, just go to Kenyan national parks and see it with your own eyes. It's really there, on this Earth.
