I spent 6 days trekking the mountain with guide Justin as well as porters and a cook. I can only say that it was an amazing experience that was only made possible due to the zanzi team. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Justin was able to provide careful medical attention when needed and would always inform me about interesting facts about the mountain and its surroundings.
Although my appetite wasn't the best due to the altitude, the food provided was very good. I can only recommend the Zanzi team for the trip and wish them all the best!

Exceptional service, communication and amazing safari in Tanzania
Wow! What a fantastic safari! We are so happy with the attention to detail and communication from everyone at Zanzi. Email and WhatsApp communication was clear from before booking, pre arrival and during our safari. We found the transparency of the costs and packages helped navigate exactly what we wanted to choose. We undertook a group joining safari and enjoyed many of the national parks including Serengeti. We highly recommend the driver Ismail who took great care despite some trying conditions in the rain and he went out of his was to make us feel comfortable and his knowledge of animals was excellent. We especially liked the many conversations we had with local people about their lives and cultural differences along with the epic animal experiences. Highly recommend!

Professional, well organized, enjoyable
I travel by myself, and Zanzi Safari organized for me 3days safari trip. That was the best choice. The crew prepared for me not only fantastic and memorable journey through local parks but also made me feel welcomed and worries free. All was prepared up to perfection. 7 Day Safari - Mid Range Option
I had a great experience booking through Honest (the owner) for the 7 day safari! I was between the budget and mid range option and chose mid-range. After seeing friends participate in the budget option, the mosquitos were not bad and with wet wipes for bathing would have been doable. That being said I was VERY happy to have a bed at the end of the day, a private warm shower, and most accomodations seemed more on the luxury side!
Highly recommend the two nights in serengheti, also our tour guide Abu was fantastic and often avoided the large crowds which allowed us to have more intimate animal experiences.
We did have one hiccup checking into one of the parks, but was alhandled by Honest and Abu with some wait time.
Some tips for those about to join: $10 a day for the guide and $5 a day for the chef is the expected tips.
I waited last minute to book in person, but it was a scramble to find a group I could join. If booking midrange or luxury, booking ahead of time is definitely the way to go! Honest also met with me before and after for drinks and felt like a friend the whole time. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience with the professional team!
Tour to Kilimanjaro with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris was one of the best experience I’ve ever done. I contacted to the company at very last minute, but they kindly accepted me and communication with them was super smooth.
My guide was an expert with more than 15 years experience at Kilimanjaro. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always cared me both physically and mentally. I reached the top thanks for him and his team. The view, especially sunrise from the roof of Africa was unforgettable!!
I highly recommend to travel with them when you visit the mountain!

Chill and caring
If you are planning to hike Kilimanjaro, I will recommend to trust local company Zanzi Trekking and their professional crew. We had an incredible week hiking Lemosho route all the way up to the summit. Me and 2 friends booked a private tour and had 10-person crew with friendly porters, chef, waiter and couple of guides. Maru and George (the guides) were amazingly talented leaders and i could trust the whole trip that we got perfect advice for each day. Even thought there were challencing moments on hike, our guides knew exactly how to push us forward and still kept our minds happy. Thanks to the chef for making delicious foods, especially soups kept us warm. Also food was always on time and that’s something you dont want to stress about at the mountain. So if you are looking for chill and talented crew and want to reach the summit with cheap price, support and go and take a hike with these guys. Thank you for sharing this hard but worthy experience with me, I will see you guys some day again. Jambo jambo!

Unforgettable Experience
Me, 27, female solo traveller, did a 8-days Kilimanjaro Tour with Zanzibar Trekking and Safaris. The team was amazing, always had a smile on their faces even though they carried all the heavy stuff. Climbing with Alex, the team and the company is the wisest decision I made for my tour of Africa.Without their help, I think my dream could not come true so fast.
I lack of exercise and I always think I am a weak girl.But my guide Alex never gives up me and continuously encourages me, then we made it to the peak. Every friends including me couldn’t believe it! I think the reason is mainly Alex. He is such more professional than the other guides I met along the way, he will assess your capabilities and choose the way most suitable to you including using his 17 years climbing experience to smoothly go through the mountain, finding a comfortable poly poly pace you need to catch up but you don’t need to rush, ensuring your safety when it’s slippery or steep, assessing your body all the time, knowing where you are exactly every time you want to know, checking your blood oxygen level every morning and night, giving helpful medicine and cloth advice and renewing your climbing plan based on your performance. And he is so caring to make sure you eat enough and help you take your day pack when you feel exhausted.Besides, he could speak fluent English and Chinese. You could fully trust him and he will help you as much as he can. I couldn’t believe the other guides could provide more than him.（and I think everyone knows him)
And the chief Eric will ask your preference before climbing and prepare everything . Everyday the meal is delicious even till the last day. I enjoy it and I ate a lot under the condition that I have a Chinese stomach. You will have hot tea or ginger water when you want or feel sick. And have popcorn as snacks.
And every morning Jonny will wake me up gently and have already prepared a cup of hot tea which is really helpful! And he is so warmhearted to meet your needs.
The whole team is so supportive. On the summit day, hot water is still provided along the way. After I reach the peak, I was descending to the campsite. On the half way, I saw they have already arrived there to congratulate me! I feel so warm after one night’s climbing.
And the company is also very supportive. Alone the whole 7 days, Honest continues trying to contact me to make sure i feel great and have no worries.
The whole process is so fantastic and I treat the whole team as my family. I 101% recommend the team to all kinds of people who want to climb Mount Kilimanjaro no matter you are good at climbing or you never climb before and have no confidence, no matter you travel with your friends or alone like me, no matter you want to climb to the peak or just appreciate the view along the way, no matter you are budgeted (worth every penny )or want some luxury! This is your best choice(after I ask some other people’s ’ experience and feelings, I got the conclusion.)
