An amazing knowledgeable guide and an overall unforgettable experience with animals & accommodation
Firstly all the communications before travelling were excellent and clear. Our guide was Eric and he was an incredibly knowledgeable young man, who not only gave us exceptional information about all the animals and birds, but also was very well informed about lots of social and cultural subjects in Kenya which made the drives very interesting. He always had the vehicle spotless for us and made lots of accommodations for my 9 year old - who loved him so much he made a Minecraft version of the car and Eric! We saw a huge range of animals, Eric was a great driver - we felt like we were on a true adventure yet felt safe the whole time. Both the Hunters Luxury Camp and Voi Safari lodge were amazing. Both stunning in their own ways. Hunters was beautiful with stunning camp rooms and great pool, Voi has this cool tunnel where you can get incredibly close to the animals at the watering hole. My son loved all the hyrax, monkeys and lizards around the place as well!
There was an ample selection of food options and we even had a picnic one of the longer days which was excellent. Service everywhere was friendly and relaxed but ultimately the scenery, flora and fauna stole the show. Eric stopped for every bird we spotted which my son loved and he had a story for everything we saw. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Just Amazing 😍
I contacted them at the very last minute before my trip to Kenya, and they organized everything very quickly. Everything went smoothly, and my safari with Gordon was perfect. Amazing adventure up Mount Kenya
My friend and I had an amazing time spending 4 days hiking up and down to the summit of Mt Kenya.
Patricks’ organisation included a 3 hour transfer from Nairobi through the stunning Kenyan countryside.
Once at Mt Kenya, our guide Charles and his team of porters made every effort to make us comfortable during the hike, carrying all our bags, providing some very tasty meals 3 times a day (which impressive considering they have to carry everything on their backs), sharing their local knowledge about the mountain, and answering all our weird specific questions about plants, birds, rocks, and glaciers!
The first day consisted of the transfer and walking from the hike to Moses cabin (3000m) where we had rented some seriously thick sleeping bags for the night. Along the way you might see Zebra, Baboons, and Waterbuck.
On day 2 you hike 6 hours through some beautiful valleys up to Shipton cabin (4000m) surrounded by amazing landscapes, plants, and wildlife. Once at Shipton it gets quite cold so remember to pack multiple thermals, thick socks and jackets.
On the 3rd day, we woke up at 3am to ascend to the summit (4800m), this was a tough ascent on scree and snow but well worth the feeling of standing in an other worldly environment seeing the sunrise. Charles and the other guides always put our safety first, cutting a path through the frozen snow for us on the way back down. We decided to get some extra sleep outside on a rock surrounded by the mountains and were treated to a picnic breakfast in our sleep bags by the team which was a unique surprise!
The you to walk then back through the valleys to Moses camp in preparation to hiking down to the gate and the transfer back to Nairobi on the 4th day.
Thanks to Patrick, Charles, and the team for organising and taking us on an amazing adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives!

Overall great safari experience in Masai Mara
We had a wonderful safari in Masai Mara with Patrick and Mateo Adventures. The booking process was smooth, and Patrick consistently ensured our comfort and well-being throughout the tour. We had in fact two tour guides and were provided water and snacks during the ride. The journey from Nairobi to Mara was an exceptional experience in itself - passing through smaller towns, we gained a glimpse into Kenyan life outside the capital, adding a cultural dimension to our overall adventure.
A valuable tip for those visiting Masai villages is that you're not obligated to make purchases, and if you choose to do so, bargaining is recommended, as these villages are very touristy. Our stay at the Goshen Mara camp, while low budget, provided an authentic safari experience in the middle of nature and met our needs. We would have wished for the mosquito nets to not have holes, but that's the camp's responsabilty.

My first time in Kenya and my first safari tour. Incredible!
We arrived in the off-season and expected to see only elephants and birds, but we saw more than we expected!
We met a lot of giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, monkeys, warthogs, herd of elephants and a wide variety of birds. The trip was unforgettable. Special thanks to Patrick and Livingston the are provided support on all levels.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back in the summer!

Amazing Guide, great value!
We had an amazing trip from Nairobi via masaai mara, lake Nakuru, and Amboseli, ending in Mombasa. Before the during the trip Mateo travel and adventure were very quick to respond to any questions and requests we had about booking confirmation, travel around Kenya etc.
Our guide Gordonne was so knowledgeable along the animals and we saw more than we could have dreamed of! After he realised we weren't just there to tick animals off he spent long watching the less exciting animals on our request.
Our only minor issue was the comfort of the truck between the national parks as we are both over 6ft and had to bend over to see out of the window (Not an issue in the parks with the roof open. But seeing as they are priced much lower than most tours out the of the same length we can't complain!

Great trip, our guide Gordon was very nice
We had a great safari and saw all of the big 5. Our guide was very accommodating and we were very comfortable the whole trip. I would recommend using Mateos

We really enjoyed our trip with driver Gordon. Communication about our wishes went very smoothly via email. It was also nice that there was the option to pay by credit card.

Amazing trip, very well organised, great guide
We booked with Patrick from Mateo Travel. From the beginning he was very reliable, always answering and making everything possible. He picked us up on time in Nairobi and we started the Safari with Gordon, an excellent driver, a humorous and warm-hearted person and a real animal expert. He managed that we observed almost all wild animals. We can highly recommend any tour with him.

Unforgettable journey
My wife and I spent a wonderful 6 days on safari organized by Mateo Travel and Adventure. It so happened that we decided on the dates of the trip only on January 27. We went to the website safaribookings.com and outlined our wishes: the safari starts on January 31, the duration is 5-6 days, the type of tour is private, starting in Nairobi, ending preferably in Mombasa, the price is reasonable. Of the dozen suggested tours, one completely coincided with our wishes. We sent a request to Mateo Travel and Adventure, and a few hours later we received a detailed offer from Patrick Awidhi. The cost of the tour turned out to be even slightly lower than that offered on the website, and any mandatory additional costs were absent in the future. The trip started on time and all six days passed exactly on schedule. Patrick was always in touch and helped to resolve any issues if they arose. Simon, a wonderful, friendly and professional guide, opened up the life of Kenya's wildlife to us and we literally fell in love with it. The multitude of animals literally at arm's length is admired and makes one marvel at the wealth of East Africa. I must say right away that the low price of the trip determined the ease of accommodation in tent camps and a hotel. However, it was convenient everywhere and a separate toilet and a hot shower were available. I can recommend a safari with Mateo Travel and Adventure to anyone who loves and respects wildlife.
