Alice was our tour consultant, very patient, kind, and extremely helpful. Alice was very flexible and happy to adjust the itinerary to suit our own request she then provided a perfect Safari packages as per my request. Communication with her via WhatsApp was easy and efficient. She was always quick to respond and answering all our questions with care. Asante ALICE for the incredibly responsive and you ensured every request was taken care of.
We were also delighted to meet Alice in person, who gave us such a warm welcome at the airport. It was a wonderful surprise and made us feel valued and well cared for right from the moment we arrived.
Now it time to introduce the star of your safari and the person who made it truly unforgettable was our amazing driver and guide throughout the safari TIMOTHY. We cannot speak highly enough of Tim. He was the heart and soul of our adventure his expertise, warmth, and genuine passion for wildlife made every moment unforgettable.
Tim had an extraordinary ability to spot animals from great distances and always positioned the vehicle perfectly to give us the best views whether it was a pride of lions lounging in the shade, elephants & rhinos crossing our path, or a leopard hidden in the trees. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing detailed insights about each animal’s & birds behavior, habitat, and conservation efforts.
Beyond his guiding skills, Tim was simply a joy to be around punctual, patient, kind, and always attentive to our comfort. He made us feel safe, informed, and completely taken care of from start to finish. Each day with him was a perfect balance of adventure, learning, and laughter.
By the end of our safari, Tim wasn’t just our guide he felt like a family. Tim treated us like family in his attentiveness. We are so grateful to have shared this experience with someone so dedicated and passionate. If you're planning a safari, ask for Timothy—you won’t regret it. He made our trip truly exceptional.

An amazing adventure from start to finish
I can’t say enough about this whole operation. From start to finish e ruined made this experience seem less. The booking was smooth, Maryann was extremely helpful and friendly.
When we arrived our guide Willy was friendly and kind. He played awesome reggae music for us the whole drive to the preserve. He was extremely knowledgeable and catered to all our needs.
The staff at the resort takes all pressure off of your shoulders and anticipates all your needs.
The food was amazing and the staff is so nice.
Stephen, Cynthia and Wilson went out of their way to accommodate anything we wanted.

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish
From the time we first contacted Splendid Vacations to plan our five day safari in the Masai Mara, Alice couldn’t have been more helpful and responsive.
Their quote was extremely competitive and the camp rates much cheaper than booking directly - Alice also informed us on our journey to the Masai Mara that we had been upgraded to stay at Little Zebra River Camp overlooking the Talek River. We had a really wonderful stay there - the tented accommodation, facilities, food and staff were fabulous.
Our driver, Rono, was very attentive from the time he collected us from Nairobi to drive us to the Masai Mara and took us on some great game drives. He was very knowledgeable and we saw everything…including leopards and cheetah!
He then drove us to Lake Naivasha where we parted company and set out on our own.

From the moment we first made contact to set up the trip, until the moment we said a tearful see you later at the airport, the staff at Splendid Vacations were truly amazing!
Our contacts with Splendid were Rachael in the office, and Rono in the field.
Rachael: You truly are the Queen of attention to detail. You were quick to reply to our emails answering all of our questions and set up the perfect itinerary both for the safari and also in Nairobi for three days after our safari and beach combo tour ended. It mattered not the day of the week, the time of the day, or the fact that we are eleven hours behind you. Your prompt, courteous, professional emails were very appreciated. It was very nice to meet you at the airport as we were flying home to say Hello and Thank You. The WhatsApp connection with you during the trip was a nice touch, giving us access to you if we needed it. (We didn't). You deserve a big raise! We'll be in touch soon with our next trip.
Rono. We have no words. We arrived in Nairobi as tourists, and felt like we were saying good-bye to a close friend or family member when we flew home. Your warmth, hospitality, and genuine smile truly embody the spirit of Kenya. You have a sixth sense when it comes to spotting wildlife and knowing where to stop for perfect photos. You are in your element when you are in the parks. You kept us safe, made us laugh, and taught us a lot, all while earning the title "King Rono" from us. We miss you, friend!

Incredibly nice safari experience in Kenya
We made an 8-day safari trip in December 2024 and planned our Kenya safari trip a half a year ago. We have chosen Splendid Vacations, because they made a good offer and changed the originally planned route according to our wishes. Communication with them was quick and easy all the time.
We were picked up at the airport. The Land Cruiser was very well equipped. James, our driver is a highly skilled driver and guide, he made us feel safe independently whether wer were on a game drive or in a crazy busy road traffic. He showed us the Kenyan way of Hakuna Matata, stayed always calm and relaxed. We could sight many many different animals, some of them very closely.
The suggestions of accommodations were excellent, we liked the hotels we stayed in.
Without the team of Splendid Vacations we could not have had such a memorable holiday. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

Absolutely splendid!
All the way through the entire process Splendid Vacations were terrific. I couldn't have asked for more. Very communicative and helpful on itinerary in the lead up and then when our flight was delayed by 4 hours. Our guide - Augustine - was excellent. We saw all we'd hoped for and felt extremely well looled after.

Excellent safari tour in Kenya

Adventure, Laughs and lots of fun
Our recent 5-night safari in Kenya with Splendid Vacation was nothing short of spectacular. We had the pleasure of exploring three of Kenya’s most renowned parks: Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara. Each park offered its own unique landscapes and wildlife, making every day a new adventure.
From the very beginning, our driver and guide, James, made a lasting impression. His friendly demeanor and efficiency were evident as he expertly navigated the often challenging traffic. James’s extensive knowledge of the parks and their inhabitants ensured that we didn’t miss a thing. His ability to spot wildlife was truly remarkable, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best viewing opportunities.
Throughout our safari, we were fortunate to see over 30 different species of animals. The abundance of zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, giraffes, and gazelles was breathtaking. One of the highlights was witnessing a pride of lions up close and observing a cheetah on the hunt. We also had the rare opportunity to see hippos in their natural habitat, which was an incredible sight.
The accommodations provided by Splendid Vacation were top-notch. Each of the four lodges we stayed at offered a unique experience, with comfortable rooms and a variety of delicious food options. The staff at each lodge were welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyment of our trip.
One of the most memorable moments of our trip happened in Amboseli. We were on an early morning game drive, the sun just beginning to rise, casting a golden glow over the landscape. Suddenly, James pointed out two young elephants grazing peacefully in the distance. As we approached, we watched them playfully interact with each other, their silhouettes beautifully framed by the sunrise. It was a serene and magical moment that left us in awe of the natural beauty around us. This experience, among many others, truly highlighted the magic of the African wilderness
This safari was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The combination of stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and exceptional service made it unforgettable. We are immensely grateful for the hospitality and care we received from start to finish. Without a doubt, we would highly recommend a Kenyan safari to anyone seeking an extraordinary adventure.
