A Very Mixed Experience.
During our 6 day safari, our guide, Stephen, alone, worked tirelessly, sometimes driving 7 hours in a day. His communication to the group could have been far better, clearer and louder, but he was friendly, very knowledgeable about the animals, tried hard and did his best to help us tick off the big five. We achieved this, but only managed to see Rhino at a distance, and did not see a leopard.
The Maasai clearly have a strangle-hold over all of these safaris that comes across as if it is a Mafia-type of situation. They control the gates to all the game reserves, it was their tourist camps we were taken to, and it was their shops with heavy-handed sales tactics and ridiculous prices that all the tourists were constantly taken to throughout the trip. The camps all serve the same boring tasteless food in bulk. Beef stew, chicken pieces, rice and mixed veg. This is what you will eat for every single meal, every day for 6 days. Left over chicken is packed up for bland tin-foil packed lunches.
Roads around the Maasai Mara are 100 times worse than you can imagine, even in a Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep. My spine was killing from being sledgehammered after these two days of the trip, and I had cuts and bruises on my shoulders from being bashed into the jeep walls. Nokuru and Amboselli roads were far better. Book a Jeep. Do not book one of these safaris in a van, you will massively regret it!!!
Manjaro tented camp was a dump. Staff were unwelcoming, bossy and miserable. Our tent and mosquito net did not close, even though they stated that if it was not closed, baboons could steal your belongings. The camp smelt of raw sewage, and the tent toilet did not work. They kindly provided me with a bucket to pour sink water into the loo as a substitute. The bedside lamp did not work and the only lightswitch with loose visible wiring was about 6 foot from the bed.
Be prepared for lots and lots of driving, ..........like whole days of driving, on sometimes pretty scary roads, and pray your driver has good judgement while overtaking at high speed on terrible roads.
At all three parks, some beautiful scenes of animals together were spoiled by overcrowding of vehicles. Usually a pride of lions or Cheetah will be surrounded by 20-30 vehicles. Loud, stupid Kenyan vehicle drivers shout to each other loudly in Swahili, and truckfulls of ignorant tourists talk loudly, even by animals very sensitive to sound. On several occasions, this clown-show led to the animals being scared off, and missing out chasing down a meal. On one occasion, there were so many trucks (about 50!!!), the wildabeest could not even get through to cross the river.
If you go to the Maasai village, be prepared to be surrounded and sold heavily to. Also, if a bracelet is worth 100-200KES, they will price it at 2500-3000KES, to start any negotiation. On our trip, they were so focused on selling to us, they did not even let us meet the chief, which was supposed to be a key part of the visit. Also be prepared to be stopped by the police with guns in Ambosselli, for a short river walk with a bribe. As Stephen did not properly explain or prepare us for this in advance, we panicked as we thought we were being robbed.
By the end of the trip, we had definitely had enough. The awful food and constantly being treated like a fool by the tireless heavy selling tactics of the Maasai had got a bit wearing. It was summed up by the Maasai children. You say 'Hi' to them, they hold their hand out for payment.
If it wasn't for the hard work of Stephen, this safari would only have been a 1 or 2 star experience.

Very good
Our safari experience with JungleRoam Safaris in Kenya was truly memorable and well organized from start to finish. The itinerary, accommodations, and overall arrangements were handled professionally, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience.
A special appreciation goes to our guide, Mr. Geeman, whose knowledge, wildlife tracking skills, and dedication helped us enjoy some incredible animal sightings. His efforts made a significant difference throughout the safari.
The hospitality at all three camps—Flair Camp, Amboseli Mountain View, and Wildnest Camp—was exceptional and truly next level. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Food quality varied between the camps. The food at Flair Camp was exceptionally good and one of the highlights of our stay. The food at Amboseli Mountain View and Wildnest Camp was average but satisfactory. Dinner arrangements overall were very good. The only area that could be improved is the packed lunch provided during excursions, which was quite basic compared to the otherwise excellent experience.
Overall, JungleRoam Safaris delivered an outstanding safari experience with excellent wildlife encounters, great hospitality, and lasting memories. We would happily recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

Excellent guide and tour deals. Office is hard to find in Nairobi.
We went on a 5 days/4 nights tour doing Masai Mara, Nakuru, Navaisha and Hells gate. Our guide, driver and animaltracker was Moses. Moses had all knowledge and skills that was needed and have a charming personality and makes your trip unforgetable. He does everything he can to locate all the animals and get the best angles for photos an close observations.
Improvement is the food in the hotels and lodges. For us it was almost the same menu everyday and we would love more western touch on the breakfast.

I belige the safari was excellent, i enyojed going in a group and think the guide was great. At the same time i was aware that we chose a budget safari, therefore the food was a repetitive and maybe not the best all days. The acommodation was fine

Good communication and fair price with experienced guide
We recently booked a 7-day private safari covering the Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Lake Nakuru in a 4x4 Land Cruiser. From our very first inquiry, Chesi was incredibly transparent and did everything possible to accommodate our requests within our budget.
Because we booked everything online and paid only a small deposit upfront (with the balance due on day one), we were initially a bit skeptical. However, any doubts vanished the moment we arrived in Nairobi; Kevin escorted us to their physical office, which is clearly a bustling, legitimate operation with a large team.
Our guide, Albert, was absolutely exceptional, easily the best driver and guide we could have asked for. A great guide can make or break a trip, and Albert truly made ours. His animal-spotting skills and deep knowledge of wildlife are incredible; he managed to show us the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and even some of the Rare Five! Albert wisely reminded us that since we chose a private safari, we should take our time. Thanks to him, we enjoyed countless exclusive, peaceful moments with lions and elephants deep in the Mara and Amboseli, away from the crowds. He was an excellent planner, highly considerate, and strictly followed our agreed itinerary, balancing 8-hour full days with shorter half-days seamlessly.
The accommodations offered fit our budget perfectly and matched the descriptions exactly. We had cross-referenced them on Google and Booking.com beforehand, and they were just as promised.
If there is one area for minor improvement, it would be the pace of transit days. Out of the 7 days, we felt two weren't fully utilized. For example, on the final day, we had an 8-to-9-hour buffer to kill at the airport, and the transit day to Nakuru left us with 5 to 6 hours of downtime. While this was nice for resting, it could have been optimized with a small activity. This isn't a complaint, just a friendly tip for future travelers to double-check their itinerary gaps before locking it in. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Five Days of Adventure, Wildlife, and Lifetime Memories
Our Kenya safari with Jungle Roam Safari was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived in Nairobi until the end of our journey, everything was well organized, smooth, and stress-free. The itinerary was well planned, allowing us to experience the beauty of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, and culture at a comfortable pace.
A special thank you goes to Tribon, who played a huge role in making this trip exceptional. His knowledge of the parks, wildlife, and local culture was impressive, and his ability to spot animals was remarkable. Thanks to his expertise, we were able to witness incredible wildlife encounters and capture amazing photographs throughout the safari. He was always professional, punctual, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible experience.
One thing worth mentioning is that the accommodations included in our package were budget accommodations, which was what we selected when booking the tour. For travelers looking for more luxurious lodging, higher-tier packages are available. We found the accommodations comfortable and suitable for the safari experience, and they offered good value for the package we chose.
One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing live hunting action inside the park, a truly rare and unforgettable experience that showcased nature at its most authentic. Another memorable moment was watching a cheetah roaring and yawning up close—a sight that made us appreciate the beauty and power of these incredible animals.
Every day brought new adventures and lasting memories, from the vast plains of the Masai Mara to the breathtaking wildlife encounters that exceeded our expectations.
We highly recommend Jungle Roam Safari to anyone planning a visit to Kenya. If you are fortunate enough to have Tribon as your guide, you are in excellent hands. Thank you for making our dream safari a reality and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The experience was fascinating. We had the best driver we could have asked for. Jimmy is an excellent guide, a highly skilled driver, and a truly wonderful person. His professionalism, friendliness, and dedication contributed greatly to making the entire experience run smoothly and exceed our expectations.
Our stay at the camp was also fantastic, providing an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Without a doubt, this was a memorable trip, and we would highly recommend it to anyone considering a safari.

Great safari experience, but disappointing accommodation
We had a very good safari experience overall, especially thanks to our guide John, who was truly excellent. He was knowledgeable, professional, and made sure we saw an incredible amount of wildlife. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout the safari, and this part of the trip definitely lived up to our expectations.
Unfortunately, our experience with the company regarding the accommodation was very disappointing. We stayed at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, and it did not meet the expectations that had been set beforehand. Prior to our trip, we were sent a link showing a nice hotel room, which we understood to be the room we had booked and paid for. However, upon arrival, we were given a very poor and unclean room that did not resemble what had been presented to us.
The room was damp, with water running down the walls, and there was no air conditioning, which made the stay very uncomfortable. In addition, the food at the hotel was extremely poor, which only added to the overall negative experience.
We felt that we could not sleep in the room we were initially given, and therefore we had no choice but to pay extra to upgrade to another room — essentially the standard we had originally been promised and believed we had already paid for. We do not find this acceptable and feel it reflects poorly on the company’s communication and transparency.
In summary, while the safari itself and our guide were excellent, the handling of the accommodation was very disappointing and not up to standard.
