The best experience of my life, outstanding!
The Agent was very helpful when booking, even though I left it until the day before our safari to book our needs were met in every way. We were picked up from our hotel in Zanzibar, flew to Arusha and was met by Boris and our Guide Richard to start our adventure. Richard was an amazing, very knowledgeable about all the animals we encounted. We stayed the night in an amazing camping lodge, then started another safari the following day, starting with a sunrise balloon ride, which was spellbinding. We see many many animals. Richard then dropped us to the airport, where we flew back to Zanzibar, was met by a taxi the other end and back to our hotel to finish our holiday.
The whole experience was perfect. I was celebrating my 50th Birthday, Akonda Safari arranged a beautiful celebration with cake for me also. I can not thank them enough for such an amazing trip of a life time.
Richard our guide educated us so much by sharing his knowledge of the African bush. I will never forget this experience and highly recommend them to others in the future

A perfect organization, full support from our hotel in Zanzibar until our return to it, accommodation in unimaginable lodges, a very experienced guide, knowing all the parks to perfection, he allowed us, in three days, to approach as closely as possible, all the animals and especially the Big Five which are difficult to spot.

Big 5 in 3 days!
We had an amazing experience with Akondo Adventures, thanks in large part to our guide, Richard. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable journey. Richard’s extensive knowledge of the wildlife and landscapes made each moment informative and exciting, and his infectious good humor kept our spirits high. In just three days, he expertly led us to see the Big Five—a thrilling highlight of our trip!
The Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks were especially breathtaking, with countless unforgettable moments observing the animals up close. While Lake Manyara National Park didn’t quite match the excitement of the other parks, it was still a nice addition to our itinerary. We can recommend Richard, highly enough for anyone looking to experience Tanzania’s beauty to the fullest.

Excellent organizer. Personalised tour.
We travelled with our 4 year old daughter and it was carefully designed to fit us. The hotels were chosen well, the food was very good, picnic hampers each day were excellent with beer and wine. The driver was very knowledgeable and would answer any questions we had. Overall, we had a lovely time and would recommend Akondo to others too.

Akondo Adventures: A Perfectly Crafted Safari Experience
I recently went on a 3-day safari with Akondo Adventures, visiting Ngorongoro Crater and the southern part of Serengeti (Lake Ndutu area). We had a tight schedule, and I reached out to Akondo just two weeks before our trip to Tanzania. Boris from Akondo got in touch with me and was extremely responsive, answering all of my questions clearly and promptly. I shared my budget with him, and he tailored the itinerary to fit it perfectly.
Boris took care of everything, arranging flights to Arusha and back, as well as pick-up and drop-off in Dar es Salaam. He also made a thoughtful recommendation for our accommodation, suggesting we stay one night in a camp and the other in a lodge. Since I am a bit scared of insects, especially in open jungle areas, this compromise worked wonderfully. The Niyanki Camp was an unforgettable experience, and my parents loved the recommended Serena Lodge. Both options were fantastic, but I personally think that staying in the camp really immerses you in the wilderness experience.
Boris even took the time to meet us in person both when we arrived and set off on our safari as well as before we left for Dar es Salam which was a nice, personal touch and made us more comfortable. Our guide, David, was exceptional. He was always punctual, knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, and the parks, and maintained a great attitude throughout. His skill at spotting animals, even while driving, was remarkable. Thanks to him, we saw a lot of wildlife, including part of the migration in the southern Serengeti, and even spotted 4 out of the Big 5 (lion, rhino, buffalo, and elephant). David always made sure we had what we needed and patiently took the time to ensure we had the best experience possible.
Akondo Adventures was well-organized, communicative, and transparent with no hidden fees or unpleasant surprises. From start to finish, they were professional yet personal, making us feel like part of the family. If you're looking for a safari experience that combines expertise with a friendly, personal touch, I highly recommend Akondo Adventures!

The tour was absolutely fantastic! It was a two day tour, the first day was dedicated to exploring the terrain, while the second focused on an incredible mountain adventure. Amazing safari
We chose Akondo Adventures to do a 2-day safari. Boris took care of all the organization, truly excellent. We didn't have to think about anything. He organized the flight and internal transfers very well. Once we left for the safari we met Richard, our safari driver, who turned out to be an excellent and very competent guide, both in pointing out animals that were initially difficult for us to see and in the explanations and always available to answer all our questions and curiosities.
