Fantastic experience

We took a 4-day, 3-night safari through SafariWithUS. The itinerary was incredibly well-planned and thorough, and we had a phenomenal time. Over the course of our safari, we saw a variety of animals-- in addition to the elephants, zebras, giraffes and various breed of antelope that are abundant in Kruger National Park, we also saw hippos and crocodiles (from a distance), buffalo, rhinos, a couple of leopards, and even a cheetah. The only major game we didn't see were lions.

Our first day and a half were in the public portion of Kruger, and we stayed the night at the Kruger Adventure Lodge in Hazyview, which was a bit like a summer camp with hotel rooms rather than camp cabins-- very homey and nice. The next day, we were driven after our day game drive into a private game reserve adjacent to the public portion of Kruger, and stayed two nights in the beautiful Kurula lodge. Our host, Kavi, was a fantastic guide who gave us both tremendous insights into the wildlife

The drive back to Johannesburg went through the beautiful Blyde River Canyon, and was a great capstone to a wonderful trip. Couldn't recommend it more!

The scenery and wildlife was truly astonishing. South Africa has such a varied, lush, dramatic landscape that even just driving around is a pleasure. The animals were so beautiful and surreal to see in their natural habitat. The weather was good overall. Some rain but mostly sunshine and warmth and we didnt even get a single bug bite! In addition to the things intrinsic to South Africa, the people were so friendly and helpful everywhere we went. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.

Our safari to Madikwe Game Reserve was spectacular. We saw more wildlife than we could have hoped for; the accommodations and food were outstanding. Our guide went out of his way to show us all that he could. I hope to come back and spend more time in the future.

It was a 180° different trip from what we had done, the Compass Odyssey operator, and Darren the agency contact, are 10 professionals, the entire 14-day trip without any setbacks, everything ran like a precision clock.
From our trip to South Africa we were in Cape Town, the Kruger National Park and Johannesburg.
In Cape Town we had the opportunity to see the penguins and whales, the weather was a little cool and rainy, but our guide Sarah knew how to take advantage of it and made us have wonderful days, we were able to climb Table Mountain with a view spectacular.
In the Kruger National Park, since we entered the park we started to see animals, giraffes, zebras, impalas, all of these before arriving at Lounge Senalala, our very pleasant surprise was seeing a group of super friendly and expert young people, On the first morning safari we were able to see a pride of lions, something spectacular!! Of the big five we were able to see 4 in Kruger Park.

Beautiful scenery and animals. And the dignified Big 5.

Sukukuza is a convenient camp with shops and lots of people.
Malelane is a camp where we can feel the quiet nature with no shops and few people. Also, the accommodations at Malelane Satellite Camp were clean and very comfortable. We also saw shooting stars at night.
We stayed 2 nights in Sukukuza and 1 night in Malelane and were able to complete the Big 5. Thank you to game drivers Mornay and Opa.
We would like to thank Wade from Endless Summer Tours for all of the arrangements for Johannesburg, including preparing the meals and providing airport transfers.
Safaris are generally safe, and we should have some coins to use the restrooms at gas stations along the way to Johannesburg.
Game drives in open vehicles early in the morning or during rain can be quite cold, so warm clothing is recommended.
In Cape Town, we had Danny from Beyond Africa Safaris & Tours guide us for a day. Thanks to his very thoughtful suggestions and planning, we were able

The views from Chapman's Peak Drive are most recommended and the most beautiful.
We also had a lot of fun getting a sense of the local atmosphere by purchasing souvenirs at the Green Market.
Thank you so much Danny. We want to see you again.

AS ADVERTISED! A SAFARI OF A LIFETIME!

What a wonderful experience from start to finish including the pick-up at the Tambo airport bus terminal and the drop off at our hotel door four days later! Quite a ride to Kruger through the mountains and orange groves. We had no real idea about how far or how long (over 7 hours) it would take having booked everything on line. Suggest others might consider flying from Johannesburg. But the scenery was beautiful, the van comfortable, and the driver excellent.

We arrived at the HoyoHoyo lodging and were off on a game drive 30 minutes later! Our guide for the entire experience, Marc Jenkins, was outstanding. Knowledgeable, considerate and personable! We saw the big five and so many more.

We loved the daily schedule: Three hour game drive at dawn with breakfast after, and another drive as the sun set followed by dinner. It got a bit chilly as it was winter, but blankets, ponchos and even hot water bottles were
Read more provided. There was a break during each drive with cocoa or coffee with snacks in the morning and wine or soft drinks, again with snacks in the evening to watch the sun set often with animals cruising by. Just amazing.

HoyoHoyo was incredible. The accommodations in six individual hut-like structures, each a with king-size bed, stone tub, towel service whenever you departed, loads of hot water, even a bedtime story bookmark were fantastic. And then there was the food! Menus were provided for lunch and dinner with plenty of delicious (and often exotic) choices. The wine was excellent. My favorite meal was breakfast. Across from the outdoor dining area was a watering hole. The first night a leopard dropped by. But breakfast visitors were the best—elephant families, herds of impala, baboons galore, and on and on! But probably, the most significant factor of all was the friendliness of the HoyoHoyo staff—everyone had a smile and a word to say. They even knew everyone’s name.

I cannot say enough about this entire adventure. We booked it with crossed fingers from halfway around the world, Honolulu. I would recommend Wayne and The Kruger Safari Company without any hesitation. Wayne was quick to respond to my questions, kept us informed, and certainly planned the trip of a life time for us. Mahalo nui loa and aloha!

One of the most beautiful countries in the world

We did a nice roadtrip from Johannesburg, towards Graskop, Kruger and back. From OR Tambo to Graskop was a really nice road, especially the last part up to Sabie and the Panoramaroute. Those scenics where really beautiful. When arrived in Graskop we went up to Blyde Canyon River over the Panoramaroute and that's really one of the most beautiful views that I've ever seen.
Then we moved towards Kruger, entered through Phabeni Gate and stayed for a couple of nights in Skukuza Safari Lodge in the Skukuza Rest Camp. A really nice park with good tarmac roads, but also enough gravel roads to make it feel more like a safari. We saw the whole big five, so we were quite lucky with that. The leopard was the hardest sighting, but we managed to see two of them. Lots of buffalos and elephants, also plenty of lions and we saw about 9 rhinos. But we were also lucky with other rare sightings like Nyala, Sable Antelope and some really young hyena cubs. Also so many birds, really nice to

We left through the south and stayed for one night in Marloth Park, which is a really nice spot if you want to be outside Kruger but still be very close to the park. We finished our stay in Johannesburg with just a relaxing day at the hotel as we didn't feel the need to go out there in the city as it didn't feel the safest to do.
The food we had was amazing, so much good meat but also some of the South African menus were really nice. The weather was perfect, about 30-35 degrees in Kruger and 24 back in Johannesburg. Really good for a nice holiday!
